Everything is going great with baby S. He turned 6 weeks on Saturday. He now weighs 11 lbs and grew an inch since he was born. Breastfeeding is going great and we are extremely happy. Parenthood is everything I could have dreamed of and more. It really is a dream come true and I am immensely grateful for every minute of it. This is my last week home before I go back to work (I planned for 8 weeks off, but he was a week late, so I have ended up with only 7 weeks of leave). The Bunny will be home till late-October, though - his job gives Dads 12 weeks off, paid. Lucky guy.
I've decided to put the blog on a hiatus. I started this blog to document my struggles with infertility and treatments. Now that my dream of parenthood has been realized, I don't really feel like turning this into a parenting blog. That wasn't the purpose of this blog. I also will not have the time to keep it updated. I will pick up the story again once I start treatment for baby #2 in about a year. Till then, I'll be reading all of you and always grateful for your love and support. Adios for now...
So glad to see your happy ending, Francie. I can see you are truly enjoying every minute of motherhood and I LOVE to see that. I think you were one of my first followers if not the first one. Thank you so much for all your support and love. And I hope your treatment for #2 goes really smooth, your body knows what to do now and I'm sure it will be a lot easier, or who knows?
